This is my entry for the Cache Dragon MYO Contest [OPEN]!



Name: Cliona
Nickname: Clio
Gender: Demigirl (she or they)
Cache Type: Marine Invertebrates! Amphipods and polychaete worms are her favorites, but she'll happily pick up anything that lives in saltwater and doesn't have bones.
Subspecies: Goblin
Body Type: Fat! And the size of a St. Bernard (large for a goblin cache dragon, but not huge).
Uncommon Traits: Slit pupils, fold ears, toady skin, and 2 nubs on her face
Accessories: A green scarf that resembles Ulva (aka "sea lettuce"), a type of seaweed that often attracts amphipods

Personality: Clio is a giant nerd. When she's not out collecting invertebrates, she's talking about them... and boy can she talk forever! It's not unusual for her to put her friends to sleep with her marine invertebrate monologues. She would probably be a great teacher if she had any public speaking skills whatsoever, but instead she just rambles on like the audiobook version of an academic journal article. Reading field guides cover to cover is one of her favorite hobbies. She also spends a lot of her free time hanging out in a bathtub full of seawater, reading the latest marine invertebrate research and munching on vegetarian sushi or seaweed salad. 

Since many of the invertebrates she collects like to make their homes inside of sponges, she tries to make them feel at-home by opening dozens of tiny void holes all over her body, usually through the toady bumps on her skin. When she gets older and more experienced, her skin will probably mutate to be permanently spongey and porous, but for now she's just an ordinary toady-skinned cache dragon when her void holes are closed.

Inspiration: Clio is named after my favorite sponge genus, Cliona, also known as the "boring sponges" because they bore holes in shells and coral. Her tendency to bore her friends with monologues about marine invertebrates is a play on her namesake's common name.

Accesorios: Una bufanda que se parece como Ulva ("lechuga del mar"), un tipo de alga que los anfípodos les gusta

Personalidad: Clio es una nerd grande. Cuando no está coleccionando invertebrados, está hablando sobre ellos... ¡y GUAU ella puede hablar sobre ellos! Ella frecuentemente da sueno a sus amigs con su monólogos. Tal vez ella sería un maestra buena si había tenido un talento para hablar en pUblico, pero no. Ella simplemente divaga como un audiolibro de una revista académica. Un de sus pasatiempos favoritos es leer guías para identificar los invertebrados marinos. Además, ella pasa mucho tiempo se remojando en una bañera con agua marina, leyendo artículos científicos sobre los invertebrados y saboreando sushi vegetariano o ensalada de alga.

Porque muchos de sus invertebrados viven en las esponjas, Clio intenta hacer un ambiente cómodo para ellos. ¡Ella abre muchos agujeros pequeños hasta el vacío por su piel verrugosa, como una esponja gigante!
